American Podcast

Not long back from the States where I picked up my award and had a wonderful time. I'm still jet-lagged and not quite functioning but here is a link to a radio interview I did at Salisbury University which hosted the Green Earth Awards as well as their own children's book festival:

ORLA......I was going through old emails and found our email communication back in 2005 and just had to search you out once again.
If I didn't tell you then, I'm telling you now how much I enjoy your books. We don't own but a couple at our library, but they're delightful.
Have you been doing much dancing? Last time we chatted, you were taking up ceili/set dancing. Tessie Burke is celebrating her 75th birthday and 50 years of teaching and we're going to a big party for her next month.
I would love to take up communication with you once again if you have the time and inclination. You can visit me at my blog (yes the whole world is made up of secret bloggers!) marysbloggingspot.blogspot.com and I'll be in touch again. (References on my blog to "jJoy or J" is my daughter Jessica, "kclare or K" is my daughter Kathleen and "L or Ludinator" is my husband, Lude.) There is a nice picture of all my brothers and sister taken recently on the blog also....you would enjoy seeing that, I'm sure.
Take care and congratulations on all of your fabulous literary accolades. We always knew you had it in you....always dying to get out! I wish I'd kept up with you and known that you were in Chicago on your tour in 2006 - my kids live there and I could have come to see you....what a blast that could have been.
My girls are going to be in Ireland in July.....maybe we could work something out!
